Tremco® 440 Tape

Description: Tremco® 440 Tape is a high-quality, preformed sealant made from 100% solid polyisobutylene cross-linked butyl. It ensures reliable sealing for various applications.

Uses: Ideal for non-compression glazing of vision lites and spandrel panels in PVC, metal, and wood frames, Tremco 440 Tape is perfect for low-rise building construction (up to 75 UI). It also excels in lap sealing between panels like steel, aluminum, and porcelain, as well as other joints subject to shear between similar and dissimilar materials.

• Width: ±0.8 mm (±1/32”)
• Thickness: +0.4 mm, -0 (+1/64”, -0)

Colours: Available in Aluminum and Black.

Standards: Meets AAMA 800-92 specifications 804.3 and 807.3.

Limitations:

• Not suitable for joints exposed to temperatures above 158°F (70°C).
• A compatibility test is required when using non-approved Tremco silicone sealants.
• Not recommended for glass lites over 75 UI (1905 mm). For larger lites, consider using POLYshim® II Tape. Contact your local Tremco Sales Representative for guidance.
