Simson ISR 70-01 - Multi-Purpose, Permanent Elastic Sealant

Product Description: Simson ISR 70-01 is a versatile, permanent elastic sealant with excellent ageing properties, ideal for applications requiring strong movement within the seal. Based on SMP (Silyl Modified Polymer) technology, it ensures durability and flexibility.

Applications:

• Sealings in bus, caravan, train, and truck construction
• Sealing of air conditioning equipment
• Sealing of aluminum (airfreight) containers
• Sound and vibration reducing applications

Features:

• Solvent-, isocyanate-, and PVC-free
• Excellent UV resistance and ageing properties
• Good adhesion on various substrates without primer
• Permanent elasticity from –40°C to +100°C
• Neutral, odorless, and fast curing
• Compatible with most industrial paint and lacquer systems (alkyd resin and dispersion-based)
• Paintable after skin forming (wet on wet) without affecting curing speed
• Tested according to ISO 846 method A and C

Adhesion: Adheres well without primer on clean, dry, dust- and grease-free substrates such as:

• Aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, zinc, copper, brass
• Powder-coated metal, most lacquered metal surfaces
• Glass, PVC, polyester (GRP), painted and lacquered wood

For high adhesion demands under wet conditions, use Simson Prep M. For untreated wooden surfaces and porous substrates, use Simson Prep P. Consult specific Technical Data Sheets for more details.

Method of Use:

• Easily extruded with a hand or air pressure gun at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C
• Tool or smoothen within 30 minutes (at 20°C/50% R.H.) using a spatula or putty knife, occasionally moistened with a soap solution
• Avoid soap solution penetration between joint sides and the sealant to prevent loss of adhesion
