- AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) uses Bluetooth® technology to communicate between tool and vacuum and enable wireless control when used with Makita AWS cordless tools
- Independent AWS push-button switch allows operator to run dust extractor when mitre saw is not running for maximum dust collection and cleaning after operation
- Brushless DC motor with high power to weight and size ratio
- Brushless DC motor generates less heat buildup and is ideal for prolonged use in manufacturing/production applications
- "Zero clearance" rail forward design enables saw to be placed against wall to maximize effective work space
- Gear reduction system maximizes cutting capacity
- Sliding left and right side fences can be adjusted outwards when bevel cutting or inwards for increased support of small or delicate materials
- Electric brake stops blade 3-5 seconds after trigger is released for increased operator safety
- Soft start feature gradually increases speed to eliminate start up shock
- Constant speed control
- LED cut line indication enables easy and precise alignment of blade and material for fast and accurate cutting with no adjustment required
